Mound Grove Cemetery features two impressive private mausoleums of similar design. The Blain mausoleum is of limestone with a tile roof and marble inset panels. The panel near the apex reads "Jacques Blain and family, erected 1880.", while the front panel, set into a window, lists their names: Moses Brosseau, Marie Blain (wife of Moses Brosseau), Noel Bresseau, Martine Blain (wife of Noel Brosseau).
The Kankakee City Directory of 1876 lists Noel Brosseau as a one dealing in "boots and shoes".
