Upper Alton Cemetery

Located on Oakwood Avenue in the river town of Alton, Illinois, this cemetery is famed for the grave of Robert Pershing Wadlow, the tallest man who ever lived.

According to a bronze plate on the old gate, the cemtery was originally known as Oakwood.
