George A. Fuller, architect, was the inventor of the modern contracting system for building construction. Fuller's firm built the Monadnock Building, the Rookery, and New York's Flatiron building.
The Fuller Tomb is Oak Woods' largest and most spectacular. On the western shore of Symphony Lake, the front of the tomb faces the lake, a large granite panel within listing the names and dates. The lettering is in the Roman style, using 'V' in the place of 'U'. Fuller's monument was designed by New York architect Bruce Price.
