Bohemian National Cemetery

Most of the space on the main level of the crematorium building is occupied by this chapel. The focus of attention, above the speakers' podium, is an American flag. As Bohemian National Cemetery was founded by freethinkers, the symbols here are nonreligious - instead, patriotic and organizational emblems decorate the walls. Six pairs of green marble columns support the domed roof.

In front of the speaker's dais, an elevator platform can bring coffins up from the basement level. It is surrounded by a low framework from which dark blue curtains hang.
