Adlai Ewing Stevenson (1835-1914) was Vice President of the United States under President Grover Cleveland, 1893-1897.

Mr. Stevenson was twice elected to the House of Representatives (1874 and 1878). He served as vice-president during Cleveland's second term, and ran for that office again in 1900 with William Jennings Bryan, but was defeated. He also ran unsuccessfully for governor of Illinois in 1908.
