Woodstock

Oakland Cemetery lies on the west side of the town of Woodstock, Illinois, county seat of McHenry County. Across the street, to the south, is Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Oakland Cemetery was established in 1859. Its most prominent feature is the limestone community mausoleum, in the center of the west side of the cemetery. North of the mausoleum, the graves are generally newer; the older sections are to the southeast of the mausoleum.

Though I was unfortunately unable to locate his grave, "Dick Tracy" creator Chester Gould is among those buried at Oakland.
