Cemetery #33: Atereth Israel
This entrance is similar in design to the Shomer Shabbos cemetery owned by the same congregation, which is the next cemetery to the north. This is the southernmost cemetery of the western division of Waldheim. At this point, the Des Plaines River runs very close to the road, and the cemeteries are very short - only a few rows of graves between Des Plaines Avenue and the trees on the riverbank, which can be seen in the background here. |

We will next cross Des Plaines Avenue and proceed back north towards our starting point, exploring the cemeteries on the east side of this street.
