Bert C. Gast (1895-1986) was a monument sculptor and owner of Gast Monuments, a business founded by his grandfather Englebert Gast, and continued by his son Bert J. Gast. Gast Monuments created many family monuments and community monuments in Chiago-area cemeteries, including the World War I memorial here at Saint Henry.
