Montrose's chapel and crematory features a Classical exterior. A wide staircase with a mechanical wheelchair lift leads to the front entrance. The building is flanked by two porticos, not accessible from the ground.

In the rear, a sloping ramp leads to the basement, where cremations are performed. Note the metal chimney on the left.
