A HOLY AND WHOLESOME THOUGHT TO PRAY FOR THE DEAD THAT THEY MAY BE RELEASED FROM THEIR SINS II MACAB XII 46 |
The north entrance to Holy Sepulchre, from 111th street. Limestone towers are on either side of the bronze gates. To the right of the gates is the cemetery office. After entering, the road widens, and then radiates out in seven branches. Straight ahead is the Resurrection Shrine; two angels with trumpets flank this road. In a small triangular section to the left is the grave of Holy Sepulchre's most prominent resident, Mayor Richard J. Daley. |
