Alvah C. Roebuck
On the top level of the mausoleum is a long, narrow room, lined on the two longer walls with crypts. One of these is that of Sarah and Alvah Roebuck.
Alvah Roebuck was the partner of Richard Warren Sears in Sears, Roebuck and Company, but asked Sears to buy his interest in 1895. He continued to work for the company while pursuing other interests, including serving as president of the Emerson Typewriter Company. After a period of semi-retirement, he returned to Sears, Roebuck and Company, compiling a history of the company, until his death in 1948.
